How can I purchase a gift voucher?
BBQ Cooking School classes & gift vouchers can be purchased online, calling us 01403 581737 or mailing us sales@thebbqcompany.uk
I have an existing voucher, but the code doesn’t work.
You could be trying to book a class after the expiry date. Please ensure your class is booked on a date before the expiry date on your voucher. If you do, we can extend the life of your voucher for another three months for the administration fee of £10
I can’t attend the class I booked in for, can I change the date?
The BBQ Company Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Because our classes are prepared in advance with limited spaces, premium ingredients, staffing, and venue costs, cancellations can have a significant impact on the running of each session.
For that reason, the following policy applies to all bookings.
Cancellations and Changes
All cancellation or change requests must:
be made in writing
come from the original booking holder
Your booking is only treated as cancelled once we have confirmed receipt of your request.
If We Are Able to Refill Your Space
If we are able to resell your place(s), we may offer either:
a transfer to another class, subject to availability, or
a refund less a 2.75% processing fee to cover non-recoverable card charges
Please note that refilling a place is not guaranteed, and any refund or transfer under these circumstances is entirely dependent on the space being resold in full.
If We Are Unable to Refill Your Space
The following terms apply:
14 days or more before the class
transfer to another class at no extra charge, subject to availability, or
refund less the 2.75% processing fee
Between 8 and 13 days before the class
50% of the booking value may be transferred to another class, subject to availability, or
50% refund of the booking value
7 days or less before the class
no refund
no transfer
Non-Attendance
If you do not attend a class, arrive too late to take part, or leave early, we are unable to offer a refund, credit, or transfer.
Group Bookings and Private Events
For group bookings, private classes, or exclusive events, separate cancellation terms may apply and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Exceptional Circumstances
We always try to be reasonable, but any exception to this policy is entirely at our discretion.
If We Need to Cancel or Reschedule
If The BBQ Company needs to cancel or rearrange a class for any reason, you will be offered either:
a transfer to another date, or
a full refund
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking.

How can I pay for my class or voucher?
The BBQ Company accepts payment for all vouchers and class bookings by; credit card and eft.
How do I get my voucher?
BBQ Cooking School gift vouchers and class vouchers will are issued as e-vouchers, in a printable PDF attachment. An automated email containing your e-voucher is forwarded to your nominated email address once the payment has been processed successfully. From this email, you will be able to print off a gift voucher to give to the person who is receiving the present.
If you have purchased your voucher after class, you may have been given credit for the class on your existing account.
How long are the vouchers valid?
BBQ Cooking School gift vouchers have a 12-month expiry date.The expiry date will be listed on your voucher.
BBQ Cooking School gift vouchers must be redeemed, and the class attended before the expiry date.
My voucher has expired, can I still use it?
Yes, you can extend an expired voucher for a further three months for a admin fee of £10
Can I give someone else my voucher?
Yes, the BBQ Company is happy to transfer the gift voucher or class vouchers into another name, if the purchaser or recipient give permission.
Can I pay for my class on the day?
No, payment is to be made in advance to secure the booking, your booking cannot be confirmed until full payment is made.
Will you send me a reminder before the class?
The BBQ Company will send a reminder email to the purchaser (or student if different) at least two days before each class. You must ensure that it is your email address we hold, not the person who gave you the voucher.
Can I get a refund on my voucher or class booking?
Refunds are not available. The BBQ Company is happy to transfer the class booking into another name if the purchaser or original persons booked give permission.
Do you ever cancel classes?
The BBQ Company endeavours to run all classes scheduled. However, occasionally not enough bookings are made to warrant the class proceeding or a circumstance out of our control dictates that the class will not go ahead
In these rare cases, The BBQ Company will contact all student affected at least 48 hours beforehand to offer to transfer their booking to another class and date
I have a food allergy/special dietary requirement, do I need to let you know?
Yes, we ask that all customers who have food allergies or dietary requirements to make us aware at the time of booking, We will be able to provide you with an alternate dining option. The alternate option may not be demonstrated to you in the class.
What time do I need to arrive for my class?
To ensure that our classes run on time, please arrive 15 minutes before the class and no earlier than 30 minutes before the class.
If a student is late for a class, it is their responsibility to catch up with the rest of the class and minimise disruption, as they enter.
How long are the classes?
Our classes run for 4 – 6 hours.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the class?
No, We supply all food, equipment, aprons and reference material.
What sort of shoes do I need to wear?
We require all participants to wear covered shoes.

Our Cooking Classes are held between 10:00 – 16:00.
